SPECIALIZED & CONFIDENTIAL PSYCHOTHERAPY IN MINNESOTA
Trauma and Relationship Therapy for Adults, Pilots, Aviation Professionals, and Their Families
On the outside, it seems like you always have it together. Yet, you constantly feel unsure.
The life you are living and the life you want to be living aren’t the same.
You struggle with connection or being present in your relationships.
Battling with your thoughts has left you overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling alone.
If this is you, you made it to the right place.
Depression and anxiety are burdensome but treatable.
Sleeping too much or too little, fatigue, poor ability to concentrate, racing thoughts, undereating,
and overeating can rob you of your vitality, creativity, and social connections.
It takes tremendous courage to let go of the past and imagine a different future for yourself.
Understand that a vibrant, optimistic, and purpose-driven life can be yours.
There is hope. Therapy works. Change is possible.
Hi, I’m Shoua!
After 12 years of working as a medical social worker in fast-paced hospital settings, I made the decision to become a psychotherapist. One of the most fulfilling part of my previous professional life was mentoring new employees. The process was very similar to therapy. I helped them gain confidence, set goals, and learn how to achieve them. I’m now able to use both my mind and my heart to help people gain control of their lives.
As a first-generation Hmong American, I have spent most of my life conforming to the expectations of others. I’ve experienced past painful experiences that I didn’t even realize impacted my present-day anxieties, worries, feelings of discontent, and emotional overwhelm. These events taught me unhelpful ways to view myself and the world - those lessons held me back from the confidence and freedom I craved.
I am dedicated to helping people heal from the past and live free and fulfilled in the present.
HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER
From our first conversation to lasting change—What to expect
Successful therapy is grounded in confidentiality, empathy, and hope. The process begins with a complimentary phone consultation to discuss your needs and determine whether we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, you’ll complete the necessary forms and schedule your first session.
Sessions are available in person or virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Together, we’ll identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while exploring how your past influences your present and future. We’ll also make space for your hopes, fears, dreams, and regrets.
You’ll develop strategies to regulate difficult thoughts and emotions, replace self-criticism with self-compassion, and challenge beliefs that no longer serve you. Within a trusting therapeutic relationship, you can gain new insights, experience meaningful change, set clear goals, and create a plan for moving forward.
When you’re ready to take the first step, complete the contact form, and I’ll be in touch soon.
